Beginner
The beginner's course is a 3 Month course which covers the fundamentals of basic pattern drafting, sewing and tailoring. In this course students will learn how to operate a manual machine; understand basic body measurement using tape; identify and apply various fabric types and patterns; and create basic skirts, upper bodies, gowns and blouses. There will be a final project due at the conclusion of the course to assess the students’ aptitude.
Intermediate
The intermediate course is a 3 Month course which covers pattern drafting using Helen Armstrong's techniques. In this course students will learn state of the art techniques on how to draft and design Front & Back Patterns; as well as Higher-Level Skirts, Upper-bodies, Gowns, Armholes, Sleeves, Shirts and Pants. There will be a final project due at the conclusion of the course to assess the students’ aptitude.
Advanced
The advanced course is a 3 Month course which covers advanced techniques in Fashion & Design. In this course students will learn how to design Bridals, Jackets, Corsets, Bustier with cups and Children's wears. There will be a final project due at the conclusion of the course to assess the students’ aptitude.
